The recent announcement of 11 new solar-hydrogen projects across the UK shows that the £1billion announced by Boris for 10GW of UK green hydrogen may now be doing something useful. The projects are all about solar installations feeding electrolysers to produce green hydrogen at a 125MW scale, which is 100 times less than required by 2030. £400M is to be spent by the investors who receive a guaranteed price for the hydrogen, not disclosed at present.
